As you walk through the HHICC Resource Center, you may see many folks with something hanging around their necks. These gadgets go by a variety of names ... "thumb drive," "flash drive," "pen drive," "keychain drive," "key drive," "USB drive," "USB key," "USB stick" and "memory key" just to name of few. These are actually small, finger-sized, portable devices for alternative data storage as a backup, or as walk-around storage when you don't have access to your computer. To access, store, or change data on a USB flash drive, it must be connected to a computer's USB port or a USB hub. A USB port is the point on a computer where a USB drive can be connected or plugged in. To learn more about how these devices might help you, see a rather dated but still on the mark PC World article entitled "23 Things to Do With a Thumb Drive."
